John Sayles’ 25+ years of industrial experience divides into three principal areas that combine to provide valuable insight for clients involved with the development and manufacturing of mechanical and electromechanical products:

Design Engineering and Engineering Management

  • introduced over 25major new products into production ranging from low-volume, high-cost complex systems to low-cost, high-volume assemblies
  • performed numerous FEA studies for products including complex aerospace components to low-cost commercial products
  • coauthored the FEA textbook used by GE in its engineering masters degree program
  • received "Company of the Year" recognition from Machine Design Magazine for accomplishments in implementing concurrent engineering processes
  • managed multi-million dollar product development projects

Manufacturing Technology and Operations Management

  • implemented several multi-million dollar factory improvement projects including Demand Flow® Technology, warehouse systems, ERP, machining centers, specialized assembly equipment, soldering equipment, test and measurement equipment, etc. yielding substantial business improvements
  • implemented QS 9000, ISO 9000 and MIL-Q-9858 quality systems
  • managed manufacturing operations of under 50 employees to over 1000 employees and $90M

  • President of two small manufacturing companies and General Manager for a Fortune 500 company
